' : =?:?rXEWS OF SWANSEA. Special tu The Dispatch-News. Swansea, Dec. 22, 1919.?The people in the Sardis church section became aroused over the robbery of the church a short time since, and about the same time a book-case wa$ f taken from the Calvary school house, and were determined to apprehend, if possible, the gnttty party or parties; and the result is that Prank Harlcy, a negro, is now in Lexington jail. A search warrant wAs issued by Magistrate Martin arid countersigned by the Magistrate at St. Matthews and Frank's house was searched and the stolen things found in his house. The evidence putting suspicion on Frank was at first a very slender thread, which soon grew into hand-cuffs. Frank has a rather bad reputation along the line of Corgetfulness as to the proper owner of things. Swansea has had a good business year. A great deal of cotton was sold here during the fall season but the possibility of the boll weevil coming next year has thrown a wet blanket over the spirits of the people. A good many of the negroes are going from this section to Marlboro cunty to work on the farms over there.
