is expected to make certification to
fill a contemplated vacancy in the position
of fourth-class postmaster at
Cayce and other vacancies as they
may occur at that office, unless it

EVASION OF SCHOOL LAW
Magistrate E. iT. .Martin imposed a
fine of $5 each upon W. H. Sharpe,
Jr., and Hampton Ott last Wednesday
for violation of the compulsory school
attendance law. The cases were
brought by John S. Schneider, attendance
officer. In view of the fact that
in both cases the defendants were up
for the first offence Magistrate Martin
imposed only a light fine.
