DOOR OF HOPE
IX XEED OF FUNDS
The Door of Hope in Columbia is in
need of funds for the daily bread of
60 people?30 cents per day per person
is $600.00 per month?then fuel
?medicine?ice, etc.. and a promise
to pay the matron, Miss Finnstrom,
and her able assistant, Miss Holmes,
a small salary. They are dependent
on the good people of this State for
their support and we know they will
get it when their need is known. The
home takes care chiefly of the unfortunate
girls that are about to become
mothers and have neither
friends nor money to take care of
them. They^are South Carolina girls
?very few from Columbia mostly
from the rural districts?and their
appeal is to the South Carolina men
and women to help them. Make
checks payable to the Door of Hope"
and send to Miss Finnstrom, "The
l5oor of Hope." or Gustaf Sylvan.

Wicker last year sold from his farm
other than cotton produce to the
amount of $1,600.00 This year he
says he will reach $2500.00 from such
sales. This was done by himself and.
