ISOMESON
A wedding of rare beauty and sim
plicity was solenilzed Wednesday
evening, December 6th in the Fork of
Black River at the home of Mrs. Anne
Plowden Nelson, when her daugh
ter, Claree, was given in marriage to
Mr. William Reece Wilson. Exquisite
decorations of smilax and ferns ad
orned the spacious living room, where,
before an improvised altar of green
and whito, the sacred rites were per
-formed. A few minutes before the
appointed hour the bride's sister
in-laW, Mrs. Whitford Smith Nelson,
sang "Love's Coronation," "Sweet
heart" and "To You." As the wed
ding march sounded the bridal;
party entered in the following or
der: Mr. David W. DuRant and N.
L. DuRant, ushers; Mr. George Nel
son, brother of the bride, and Miss
Cornelia Nelson, sister of the
groom; Mr. Letcher MeElveen and
Miss Lillian Plowden; Miss Irene
Plowden, maid of honor. The brides
maids wore becoming dresses of pink
crepe taffeta, while the maid of honor
was exquisitely gowned in Nile green
satin and silver lace. All carried
pink Killarney roses. The groom, ac
companied by the best man, Mr.
Rembert Evans, then entered.
The lovely bride, her brunette
beauty charmingly enhanced by a
veil of tulle, caught by a becom
ing coronet of orange blossoms, and
gowned in shimmering satin, was
given in marriage by her brother.
Mr. Edgar Nelson. Mr. Workman,
who performed the ceremony, ha'd
.conducted the same rite for the
bride's parents and the groom's.
The bride is a young woman of
beauty and charm, and the groom
is a prosperous business man. De
lightful refreshments were served.
Minneapolis man was awarded $100
for time lost getting wrong phone
numbers. Most of us seem to get
them right away.
