This is 850 mere than were working for ex-eervice men last year when approximately $10,000,000 was expended by the Na tional Organization and the Chapters working together in harmonious unity. For the current fiscal year National Headquarters appropriated $080, 692.90, an increase of $365,500.84 over the amount spent for the work among ex-service men in the year ended June 80 last. Since it is estimated that the -Chapters will expend close to $7,000, -000 froin their own funds, the grand total of fled Cross .expenditures for this 21.ngle work is expected again -to -reach the $10,000,000 mai-k by June 80, 1928. CASSESE TO RETURN Savannah, Ga., Oct. 17.-Antonio Cassese,- alias, Albert Sousa, alleged millionaire bootlegger, who was ar rested in Savannah upon the request of the New York district attorney has consented to return to New York with out requisition papers. According to the police, he is charged with con spiracy and with skipping a $10.000 bond. Cassese declares he is innocent of the charges, preferred and that he is not the man wanted. Cassese was arrested here as he stepped from the boat Irish II with a young woman who said she was his wife.
