WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 BOY SCOUT NEWS Troop One of the - Manning Boy Scouts held its monthly meeting last Monday night at the schoolhouse. There were twenty-two boys pre sent and much enthusiasm shown. The meeting was opened with a pray er by Scoutmaster Helms. The monthly troop meeting was changed from the 1st Monday to the last Mon day of every month so all the boys that were absent please note the change of date. Our Scoutmaster made a talk and several business matters were discussed. A rule was passed that the names of all boys will be dropped off the roll who do not stand the tenderfoot examination by the next troop meeting. The follow ing boys have passed the tenderfoot examination Wolf Patrol: Williams Arant, Moultrie Bagnal, John D. Gerald, Bennett Harvin, Sam Rigby, Hugh Orvin, Nevelle Sprott; Eagle Patrol: Charles McElveen, Edward McLeod, John S. Ninmer, Ethen Ridgeway, Fred Chewning, Jesse Hug gins; Lion Patrol: Harold Bagnal, Hugh Davis, Kingswood Sprott, Lewie Stalnaker, Alston Gerald, Herbert Vennir.?;; Fox Patrol: Edwa'rd Browne, Charlie Rigby, Dan Stalnaker, Mani gualt Wells. The above boys are now rated as full-fledged Scouts and by the next meeting we hope to have a number of second class Scouts.
