Talks by Annie Mood and Philip Joseph were enjoyed. Miss Mary Isabel Richbourg is in Bishopville, visiting Mrs. J. C. Bas Cin. Mr. W. T. Varnedoe Died Saturday morning at his resi lence in Summerton, after an illness )f only two weeks, Mr. W. T. Varne Joe, aged 65 years. The fun- ral ser vices were conducted by the Rev. T. S. Morris in the Methodist Church at four o'clock Sunday 'afternoon and were followed by interment in the 3ummerton cemetery. Mr. Varnedoe was a former resi lent of Ridgeville, S. C., but moved to Summeton two years ago. Since his residence here he was connected with The David Levi Co., of St. Paul. The deceased was an active member Df the Men's Bible Class of the Nipthodist Church formerly superin tendent of the Sunday School in Ridgeville, and a' Christian citizen. Mr .Varnedoe is survived by his widow, one son, A. G. Varnedoe, Ridgeville, S. C., and four d^ ighters: Mrs. D. C. Mason, St. r'aul, Miss Marie Varnedoe, Charleston, Miss Annie Varnedoe, Summerton and Mrs. Eugene Coleman, Summerton. Serres. RESOLUTIONS August 14, 1922. To Mrs. W. T. Varnedoe and Family, Summerton, S. C. Whereas it has pleased the Almighty to remove from our midst by death, our esteemed friend and member, W. T. Varnedoe, who for the past two years occupied a'very prominent rank in our midst, maintaining at all times a character untarnished, and actions above reproach. Therefore, be it resolved: that in the death of our friend we have sus tained the loss of one whose fellow ship it was a pleasure to enjoy.
