Chicago, July 1. the brotherhood
chiefs are holding conferences with
railway exctuives in each of the
four tegions established by the inter
state commerce commission. They

propositions:
h'lhat the wa ge reduction already
orldered be recalled and the old rates
of pay restored.
'I'lat no reduction be required or
sought.
That no effort shall be made to
take time and one-half pay away

Heads of several of the railroad
brotherhoods who held a conference
in Washington today are en route
to Chicago to iwet other railway
union leaders in that city for fur
ther conference on the labor situa
tion as it conceris their members.
