It is said there are "White E!e
phants" in all walks of life, as to
whether this is true or not it is not
for us to say. I3ut one thing we do
know and that is with a poor' greasy
fared sawimill man there are plenty of

us scissors all day. We are certainly
not in a humor to say nice things
about anything or anybody tonight,
and we are too ''doggone scared" of
the people to say anything bad about
them for fear of getting a whipping.
We remember reading some time ago
about a newspaper man who promised
his readers to tell the whole dying
truth one issue. And it so happened
that one of the lazziest men in the'
community got married, and one of
the biggest drunkards d ied, and one of
the awfuliest rogues in the commun
ity stole a bale of cotton, and this good
honesnt newspaper m1n1an 1Wrote up the
whole things based on facts. Anld
when we last heard from the "guy"
he was in the hospital. Now the good
Lord knows if it is possible to get
around going to such a place right
now, we certainly want to dlodge,
consequently we will not say much
until things get to running better with
us, anod we can "shine" u) our face"

and honest to goodness, if we are to
accept as facts what some of the folks
