Snch terms should not be applied to products flavored only with essential oils or essences. Some few products on the market are composed in whole or in part of fruit juice, and it is in order thait pur chasers may distinguish between.thQse genuine products and the imitations that the officials insist upon 'correct labeling. Action Will be Instituted. Action will be instituted under the Federal food and drugs act in all cases found to be in violation of its terms, say the officials. In the meantime, con sumers who want real fruit juices should read very carefully the labels of preparations purporting to be such. It is not charged that these artificial preparations as a rule contain ingre dients injurious to the heulth of adults There is no objection to their sale un derproper labels. However, they are in no sense substitutes for genuine fruit juices in that they lack the me dicinal qualities characteristic of fruit juices. In no case, say the officials, I should these artificial preparations be substituted for orange juice in feed ing children. They do not have the valuable antiscorbutic properties and the health-giving vitamines, which are found in the delicious juice of the orange. Sold by Dickson Drug Store. * 0 FACTORS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR POULTRY-HOUSE SITE The factors of importance to be con sidered in selecting the site for the poultry house are convenience of lo cation, nature of the soil, good water and air drainage, and a large amount of yard space or available grass range. In the matter of convenience the poul try house should be located near the other farm building and within a rea sonable distance of the dwelling house but not so nea rthe house that the poultry will become a nuisance where they have free range by roosting on the porches. A southern or south eastern exposure should be selected, putting the house, if possible, on a knoll or elevation of the land where the water and air drainage are good. It is very important that the land be well drained, so that it will always be dry around the poultry house. Where there is good water drainage. the air drainage is also usually good, while if the poultry house is located in a low place, cold and frosty air tends to settle in such a low place, making it a very undesirable site for the loca tion of the poultry 'house. In regard to soil one must be rela tively influenced by the kind of soil on the farm, but, if possible, select a site which has a sandy loam soil and one that is well drained. Avoid a heavy clay soil or a v.ery light sand. The land should be heavy enough to grow goojd grass and green feed and not burn up quickly in hot wveather.
