The sale of Weinberg Co. was the
center of attraction in Manning last
Saturday.
Miss Lulie Harvin of Columbia is
spending her vacation in Manming
with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Harvin, after*
spen(ling several weeks in Orange
burg, have returned to Manning.
Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Cothran have re
turned home, after spending several
weeks at Jackson Springs, N. C.
Miss Carolyn Plowden, who graduat
ed at Winthrop this year, will teach
muaic in the Manning graded school
next session.
The hail storm Sunday afternoon
did considerable damage to the crops
around Jordan. Messrs. C. R. Sprott,
Maynard Davis and J. W. Ridgill were
heavily hit by the falling stones.

Miss Sallie Sims Kirby. Mr. Wilkins
is a former Manning citizen, and is

Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Harvin and
Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Sprott left Mon
day for Detroit, and while gone they
will take in Niagara Falls and other
points of interest. They will come
back by auto.

the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hus
sey, Miss Janie Hailey and Mr. J. F.
Maye, both of Manning were united
in the holy bonds of matrimony by Dr.
Thayer. The attendants were Miss
Julia Hailey, sister of the bride, maid
of honor, and Mr. Hunsey who acted
as best man. ,

al party entered the parlor to the
