C, :ec are all Indians of one-eighth or more blood, who shall have reached the age of 21 years, or -who shall have taken the prescribed oath of a regular soldier of theUnited States, to be full citizens of the United States Subject to a reading and writing test after 1920 all Indian graduates of the reservation would be declared full citizens on reaching 21 years of age. Testifying before the house com mittee Dr. Dixon charged that the commissioner of Indian affairs does not belieev in Indian citizenship, and that he had prohibited the delivery to Indians in some sections of copies of testimony before the house military committee in 1917, when Dr. Dixon argued for the recruiting of ten or more regiments of Indian cavalry for ise in the war. Under a ruling by the ittorney general, the commissioner of Indian ffairs was held to have the me power of regulation over the nail of Indians as the warden of a1 >enitentiary in preventing th'e delivery )f mail to convicts. The Flavor Lasts BISHOPVILLE MAN, DIES FROM FALL Florence, Feb. 16.-When he jumped from an incoming passenger train at the Dargan street crossing here last night, N. J. Baroody of Bishopville, was so badly injured that he died later at the hospital. The man's body was discovered by a passerby who notified the police. When found Baroody's skull was crushed in and he was, of course, in an unconscious condition. Baroody was coming to Florence to visit a relative. The passenger trains move slowly at this crossing as a rule and it is thought Baroody, wanting to save himself the time of going on to the passenger station decided to leave the train at this spot even though it was in motion.
