can not cooperate with federal offi
cers in prohibiting the shooting of
doves between September 16 to Octo
ber 16, further than to notify holders
of licenses that the sport is forbidden
by the federal government during the
period, and that those who indulge in
it will be subject to prosecution in
the United States courts.
