At a tobacco sale on the floor of the Pee
nle's Warehouse last Thursday a young
lady became one of the buyers, and she ran
up a pile of the yellow weed to 30 cents per
pound. If all of the buyers would be as
liberal our farmers would soon throw down
cotton and go into the the tobacco culture
exclusively. Then same lady was presented
with a fine leaf of tobacco and when asked
her opinion of the quality she puckered
up her sweet lips and said "the quality is .
injured by the leaf being moth eaten." So
we caution the growers to keep moths from
getting into their tobacco.
