Believed In Jacksonuzville 1 hat She Landed Another Cuban Expeditin. JACKSONVILLE, Fia., Nov. 15. -The famous tug Dauntiess is back in port after an absence of several months. When she left Jacksonville she went quietly to towing vessels, but when the press announced that tihe schooner Sil ver Heels had left New York with a cargo of munitions of war for Cuba she started cut in search of "wreckers." Two weeks later the Dauntless put into Key West, where she was dietained a day, but then released ont an order from the secretary of the treasury, antd was then allowed to proceed to Jack sonville. At the mouth of St. John's river she was ordered into quarantine at Fernan dtna, as Captaint Floyd refused to make' oath that he had not been int foreign waters against which Florida is quaran tined. Governor RusseI sayi (ombins Are Not sanctioed by Laws, of God. RALEIGH, Nov. 13.-Governor Russell has issued his Thanksgiving proclama tion. Its second paragraph attracts much attention, and is as follows: "Our state has been spared strikes, disasters, contagion and internal strifes; our people have been blessed with bountiful harvests, many of them with peaceful and happy homes, and they have been vouchsafed progress in the promotion of education in the full pre servation of their religious freedom. and to some extent the retontion of their civil and political liberties as citi zens of the republic." He concludes by a hit at the trusts and corporations in an appeal -'not to forget those who may be oppressed or deprived of equal op portunities by such of their feiiowmen as may be in posses sion of privileges and prerogatives that are not consistent with the fundamental principles of free government and are not sanctionei by the laws of God."
