AN ELECTION WTFLL BE HELD on Tuesday. the 12th day of October. 1897, at the legally established poll ig precinets in Clarendon County. for a Representative of the 6th Con ressional District of South Carolina. n the unexpired term of the 55th Congress of the United States. The polls will be opened at o'clock, a. in., and kept open with oit intermission or adjournment un til 4 o'clock. p. mn. At the close of the election the Managers shall immediately p~roeed~ to publicly count the ballots. With in three dlays thereafter the Chair man of the Board of Managers, or one of them. to be designated in writing bv the Board. shall deliver to the Cotimissioners of Eleetion the poll list, the boxes containing the ballots, and a written statement o1 the result of the election at his pre ei nt.
