Harman. one of the South's few poets, died at her home, i8 miles from Lexington, at 5:30 o'clock th:c afternoon, her death coming after a lingering illness. Mrs. Harman would have been 85 I years of age next Sunday. For some ; months she had been in failing health but it was not until a few days ago , that her illness was considered seri| ous. A devoted mother, a | consistent Christian and an unselfish i friend, she will be remembered as she was loved by all who have known hrr for the numberless acts of kindness and of love that honored and made glorious her long life of unselfish service. Two things, her home and her church, ever claimed her de votion and many tnere are wno now mourn her death. She was a native of Lexington county and had spent practically her entire life here. Surviving her are: Four son?., IT^r.ry E. Harman of Atlanta, Ga.,; Brooks Harman of Columbia, Van ? ; B. Harman and Van D. Harman of j Lexington, and one daughter, Mrs. ?. j T. T..
