A correspondent in the Anderson Jt
Daily Mail gets off the following: ^
"Some of Anderson's good citizens j
say they don't believe that the boll j
weevil is going to damage our cotton j
crop this year. Old Noah had a;
crowd knocking on his door after it1
was 'shot' and the rain began to pour, j
They never did believe in floods."
Moral: Plant plenty to grow;
enough to eat and then some cotton, I
but don't rely too strongly on cotton ,
this year. If you don't have plenty .
to eat the door may be shot against
you as it was against those who did
not believe in floods.
