NOTICE TO COLORED PATRONS
OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1
All the patrons and children of
school district No. 1, Newberry, 3. C.,
are requested to meet on the new
school grounds on Drayton street on
(Wednesday, August 31st, 1921, at
9:00 o'clock a. m., for the purpose of
cleaning off the grounds before the
new building is started. AL1 ladies
are asked to bring baskets and the
men and children are asked 'to bring
axes, hoes, rakes, pitchforks, etc.
Each individual is asked to bring
the small sum of 10c to help raise the
assessment asked for. After the
grounds are cleaned off the table will
be spread and everybody will, enjoy
a good old-time picnic dinner and a
?ood game of baseball.
