Turner of Ninety-Six is visiting her sister, Mrs. C. B. Martin. Mrs. Martin has also her nieces, Misses Martha and Ida Stewart, of Spartanbu-g, on a visit. Mrs. Aian Johnstons, Jr., sv.d little daughter, Lalla Rook, left on Monday for their home in Baltimore, accompanied by Miss Elizabeth Stone of Greenville. Mrs. Johnstone's many friends enjoyed her pleasant visit to her mother, Mrs. J. V/. M. Sivhmons. In the recent bai;h of Hon. George S. Mower of Newberry, South Carolina lost a prominent and distinguished citizen. He was an able statesman, eminent jurist, past master cf grand lodge of Masons and a genial, warm hearted Christian gentleman. Edwin Boozer underwent a serious operation at a Columibia hospital Thursday and his condition is reported as very favorable for complete recovery. Dr. Boozer suffered a brok en thigh in an automobile accident several months ago on the Garner's Ferry road, his car being struck in the rear while he-was adjusting the lights in front. The operation was made necessary on account of the severe injury he sustained in the accident.?The State, 31st. Mrs. Hancock and two children, visiting Mrs. Caleb Bushardt, will leave Tuesday for their home in Georgetown. Miss Grace Hutchinson returned on Sunday to Greenville after visiting relatives in Newberry. Mr. Munson Buford left on Saturday night for Atlanta to be with his brother, Mr. Fair Buford, who was not resting so well after undergoing operation for the removal of an eye.
