his way to Washington and congress.
Dr. A. -J. Bowers preached a
Thanksgiving sermon in Greenwood
last Thursday. He has been pastor
of the Lutheran church there for
some time, with his family living in
Newberry and he making his pleasant
weekly visits to this city. These
weekly visits have now ceased, to the
regret of the community, as Dr.
Bowers is now making his home in
Greenwood, Mrs. Bowers ami Miss
Sadie havfr.g gone there to reside.
Postmaster A. J. Bowers, Jr., will of
course remain in Newberry with his
