Sept. 27.?The com munity was shocked this morning to hear of the sudden death of Mr. Johnnie D. Stone. For the past week I Mr. Stone had been complaining but still able to be up and about his work. Last night he had an attack of painter's colic, and aft^ he became eased his family retired. This \ morning early he was found dead. Mr. Stone was a painter by trade also a farmer. He was 62 years of age. i;. was a member of Grace Lutheran L church. The funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 ^ o'clock at St. Pauls. Surviving is his wife, who _was formerly Miss Mahala Kibler, two daughters, Mrs. Maggie Addie of Saluda and Miss Lona Stone, two sons, Ealand Stone of Florida and Bernard Stone of Newberry college, and one sister, Mrs. R. L. Luther. Mrs. Isabelle Boyd, after several months illness, died Friday morning, September 24. Mrs. Boyd was a woman of lovable disposition, a Christian of a very high type and an active church worker. She was 37 years of age. Funeral services were ^held at the Prosperity cemetery Saturday at 2 o'clock by her pastor, the T>? - nr.
