BEAR PATIENTLY.
The editor knows better than anyone
else that the counting room has
keen so crowded with advertisements
that we have been unable to print a
real newspaper for the past several
weeks. But in this day we can scarcely
afford to turn away any business
that we can handle, though as a matj

several large ads for this issue.
A Duplex press has been purchased
r?nd is now being: installed and a sufficient
quantity of paper is on the way
to run us for several months and
with this press we will print a seven
column paper and can the better care;
for the ads and the news. And
strange as it may seem the new management
has paid cash for this press,
something The Herald and News!
never was able to do before. The'
editor is proud of the success the!
boys are making of the paper and is
ready to help and cooperate to the
best of his ability.
Bear with us for a little while and j
we hope to print a real newspaper.!
The advertisers know a good medium |
when they see it and they keep ourj
columns full and we are glad and
will try to treat all of them well.
' FINE MEETING AT I
ST. PAULS LAST SUNDAY |
The Sunday school township con-!
vention at St. Eauls last Sunday was;
one of the best ever held. Chairman i
/v. T. J. Wilson and Secretary L. B. j
- Bedenbaugh had arranged a splendid;
program and it was carried through1
to the edification and pleasure of the
large congregation present. All the
addresses and talks were of a high'
order and well received by the con-!
gregation. We have no space to go
into details but every one enjoyed
the day and was %benefited by being
present. We must make especial
mention of the thoughtful and excel-!
lent talk of Mrs. Henry L. Parr,. She!
was so earnest in its delivery and the
thoughts were so well, expressed and
so full of thought and high sentiment
that they impressed very deep
]y, the entire audience.
These gatherings are helpful in
many ways and should be of frequent
occurrence. A bountiful dinner was
spread by the good people of the
community.
