Death of Mr. Noah Sease.
Mr. A. X. Sease died at his home
at Chapin on Thursday morning and
was buried at Chapin FFriday afternoon
at 3:00 o'clock, service by lie vs.
,1. J. Long and Cromer. He was 80
7 years old and had been afflicted wit-h
cancer. lie leaves a widow, nine
children and several grandchildren,

k and is also survived dv two oiourts,
B Messrs. Daniel E. and G. Luke S?ase,
R both of Newberry. The deceased was
B of a long-lived family, one brother,
Kg Mr. Leonard Sease, having died at the
W age of 94; another brother. Mr. Lang
Sease, dying at the age of about 79;
and still another brother, Mr. John
Sease, being about 80 when he died.1
Of the living brother?, Mr. Dan Sease
will be 95 in September while Mr.
Luke Sease will be 84 the 20th of

The deceased was a gaiiaru ca-^-uxifederate,
having been wounded in the
arm at Gettysburg. Part of the
_ bone was taken out, but the wound
healed so perfectly that the arni was
about as strong as ever. j
\ Of the nine surviving children three
are boys, one of the sons Mr. John
S?ase being a section master on the
C. N. & L. railroad, living in Prosperity.

County of Newberry.
Whereas, one-third of the resident
free-holders and a like proportion of
the resident electors of the age of
twenty-one in the Pilgrim School Dis

Board of Education of Newberry
County, South Carolina, petitioning
and requesting that an election be
i held in the said school district on the
question of levying a special tax of
four (4) mills on the taxable prop-;
erty within the said school district.

ed, composing the County Board of
Education for Newberry County,
State of South Carolina, do hereby

Pilgrim School District, No. 36, to
hold an election on the said question
of levying a special tax of four (4)
mills to be collected on the property
located within the said school dis:
rict, which said election shall be held
at Pilgrim school house, in the said
School District No. 36, on Saturday
the 5th day of June, 1920, at which
said election the polls shall be opened

The members of the Board of
Trustees of the said school district
shall act as managers of said election.
Only such electors as reside in the
said school district and return real
cr personal property for taxation,

vote. Electors favoring the levy of
such tax shall cast a ballot containing
> the word "Yes" written or printed
thereon, and each elector opposed to
- such levy shall cast a ballot containword
"No" written or printed
