Bethel-Garmany and St. Phillips schools will picnic together and observe the closing of the schools on Friday of this week at the Mt. Bethel-Garmany school house. The public is invited to join with tsese two flourishing' schools and eniov the day. Today, Friday. The drive for contributions to the Salvation Army Home Service fund closes today. The canvas in Newberry county has been very incomplete, because of the fact the men who have had the drive in charge did not have the time to put on it. There may be some, and doubtless there are many who have not been approached by the committees, and who would like to contribute to this worthy cause. If so, they may bring or send their contributions to Hal Kohn, and he will see to it that the money is turned over to the proper authorities., ? :-"*r The eomimttees hive raised about $525.00, the"?a9St of which is cash.
