i York Princess Theatre smart musical
comedy masterpiece under the direction
of F. Kay Comstock and William
Elliott will come to the opera
house, Tuesday, March 2.
Guy Bolton and P. G. Wodehouse
wrote the book and lyrics of
"Oh, Lady! Lady!" while Jerome
Kern composed the score which is
said to boast of no less than sixteen
song hits. Among the well known
principals of the company are, Miss

Pauline Barrie, Miss nonce .iuuum,
Mr. Joseph McCallion, Mr. Billy
Gaston, Miss Betty Blye, Mr. Eugene
McGregor, Miss Madeline Grey, Mr.
Walter Grey, Mr. Thomas C. Leary,
Miss Marie Haun and a large chorus.
The story of "Oh, Lady! Lady!"
deals with a young hero about to be
married. All plans are made and
the wedding rehearsal is announced
when news comes of the arrival of a
former scho^-days sweetheart.
Finch, the hero, fearing thjat the
Termor sweetheart has come to sue
him for breach of promise, asks his
chum to try and help him out. Fanny
Welch, known professionally as
Fainting Fanny, the pickpocket
queen, happens along and Finch's
chum asks her if she won't come to
the rescue. The plan to have Fanny
come into the living room as r men
is interviewing his former sweetheart
and Fanny is to act as a discarded
and ruined relic of Finch.
This plan is to try to shock and scare
away the former sweetheart whom
Finch remembered as a deep dyed-inthe-wool
prude. Everything is fine
until the old sweetheart arrives. She
has come, not to make trouble for
Finch, but to see that the little
bride's trousseau is satisfactory. Ini
stead of being the old prude. Finch
knew, she is a swagger modiste.
Finch and his chum try to find Fanny
to call off the plan, but are unsuccessful
and as the wedding rehearsal is
going on, in comes Fanny declaring
Finch a heart-breaker and lifewrecker.
Finch tries to explain that
there is a mistake but his intended
mother-in-law, who is not too keen
for the mat'eh insist on calling off
the wedding, ranuy euga^ca m
of her professional fainting spells
and while Finch is trying to revive
her, she picks his pockets and gets
away with the priceless pearl necklace,
the wedding gift for the bride.
The same youthful daintiness and
pretty girls expected of all the
Comstock and Elliott productions,
are much in evidence in this latest
Princess offering and the costumes
are of the newest styles.

Picture.
"His Wife's Money," a new
^ Selznick picture with Eugene O'Brien
as the star, which is announced as the
feature attraction at the opera house
Thursday, has many point to commend
it to dyed-in-the-wool followers
of motion pictures and theatricals in
general.
The story is one especially written
for Mr. O'Brien by May Tully and
DuVernett Rabbel!. The production
has been made under the personal
supervision of Kalph mce, wno nas
written some of the most important
pages of motion picture history during
the past ten years; as an actor,
director, and supervising producer.
Mr. Ince has long been identified
with everything that stands for the
best on the screen.
"His Wife's Money," it is said, has
genuine novelty of plot despite the
fact that it deals with conditions of
