Mondell told the hous^, would be eom- '
P belled to spend $1,000,000,000 and
to raise the money by a bond issue
to put the universal military training
plan into operation. Senator Wadsworth,
of New York, chairman of the
military committee, yesterday estimated
that adoption of four months
graining for all youths between the

preseitt annual expenditure of $1,M(M>v00fc?M)O

s 000,3^0.
. Eepr?set?ative Mondell estimated
that SOvQOO additional officers would

Appointment Refused.
The universal training controversy
also was brought to the surface during
the day by declination of Representative
Harreld, Republican of
Oklahoma, elected recently on a plat
form opposing the principle, to
accept appointment to the house military
committee. Selection of Mr.
Harreld by the committee on committees
to fill the committee vacancy
resulting from the resignation of
Representative LaGuardia of New
York, had brought objections from
house Republicans universal
training, and the Oklahoma representative
in his letter of resignation to
Republican Leader Mondell said he
"did not desire to be the center of
controversy." There w.is no intimation

I soon was in such good health, so far
as my stomach was concerned, that
I could eat and enjoy anything I
wanted and digest it, too, even if I
had suffered about eight years with
stomach trouble.'
The remarkable results given Mrs.
Annie Kellar, of 115 Murphy street,
Greenville, S. C., by Tanlac were described
in her highly interesting
statement, of which the above paragraph
is a part. Continuing, Mrs.
Kellar said:

The Tanlac made me better
