MILLION DOLLAR DOLL IN PARIS ENJOYABLE I Show Here One of Be^t of the Season?Had a Very Large Cast. New Beniian, 10th. <4The Million Dollar Doll hi Paris,' which played at the Athens Show Shop last night, was a very good ^ show, in fact it was perhaps nexc ic the best show of the season as a whole, and decidedly the oest musics] comedy. There was a big cast, which included a dozen in an exceptional chorus, and they were all masters of their parts. The voices of those with singing parts were good, the male l quartet bringing forth a brace of encores, as aid the saxaphone duo. The play is something on the order of the "Million Dollar Doll," which played here season before last. The added act, that of the Parisian ar rival, is added to the original. The attendance was good, but the house was not full, many people having gone to the basket ball game who would otherwise have attended. 4 So long as Harvey D. Orr keeps up his standards as he has in "The Million Dollar Doll in Paris" he will be hailed as a good producer, for there was nothing wrong with any part of the play, and everybody enjoyed it immensely. Coming Soon. A new bidder for popular favor, ''The Eyes of the World," is the first work of its kind, dealing in a big way with California life in the present day and putting into pictorial form the most phenomenally successful romance of the times, while its characters are fresh in the minds of several million readers. The new production is based on the book of the same title by Harold Bell Wright, ??ho personally took an active part in putting his famous characters before the camera. " ' -i ? uamomia scenes ui eAcepnuuai beauty are featured in "The Eyes of the World," whose episodes take place among the rose gardens and orange groves around the town of "Fairlands" (popularly supposed to be Redlands) and in the majestic mountains of Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Every effort was expended to make "The Eyes of the World" as notable for beauty as for dramatic value. Of the latter there is an abundance, as readers 01 tne book will recall. 7he~e is the escape of the convict and his pathetic wanderings;'the lilirht of the .eirl, Sybil; the kidnapping1 of this griri by Rutlidg-e, who takes her to h's mountain cabin; the search of the forest rangers for Sybil and the hand-to-hand fi?ht of the rival lovers cn the mountain cliff, which results in the tragic fate of PwUtlidg-e. The light scene is not like any other shown and is full of suspense the cumulative interest at this point piling up from several direcions that keep the spectator's mind literally on the jump. 4iThe Eyes of the World" is exi ibited with a pretentious musical score.
