PERSONAL PARAGRAPHS FROM WHITMIRE TOWN Whitmire, Jan. 1.?A marriage of unusual interest in this section of the state, was solemnized at the Baptist parsonage in Newberry, December 23rd, when Miss Carlie C. Cave, daughter of Mrs. A. E. Cave of Blackville, and Raymond T. A Drams of the Mollohon section of this county were married in the presence of * * * - i- ? J ?4.1,^ only a lew irienns ana relatives, tac Rev. Babb officiating. Raymond Abrams, who is the son of Mrs. J. Clayton Abrams, is a successful young farmer. was a member of the famous 81st division and spent some time with our boys in France, where he served his country with courage and loyalty during the World War. Miss Cave is a woman of culture, and intellectual ability having taught in the public schools of our state for several years. Clayton Abrams complimented the young couple by giving them a reception, attended by about fifty guests, at their home in Whitmire. In the receiving line were, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond T. After a shower of congratulations j the guests were invited into the din-; ing room where two long tables were | spread and chairs placed for them, j A regular old time feast consisting j of boiled ham, turkey, dressing, rice,! 1 1 1 1 I* T 1 gravy, cmcKen saiaa, onves, piciues, j bread, biscuits, coffee, cake, ambrosia j and fruit#was enjoyed. Jn the dining room the guests were j welcomed and serv*ed by Mesdames M. E. Abrams, J. W. Hipp, T. W. j Abrams, T. J. Abrams and Misses \ Alice and Jessie Abrams. In the gift room were displayed a j large collection of wedding presents t which attested to the popularity of ! the bridal couple. The two mostj ? valuable gifts were a chest of silver j by Mr. J. Clayton Abrams and a I check for one hundred dollars by Mrs. 1 J. Clayton Abrams. The next day the happy couple at-; tended the wedding reception of Mr.! Mason Young and Miss Lornelial Shannon. They then left by automo- j bile for Blackville and other prints: in the southern part of the state j where they will visit the bride's rela- j tives. When they return, about the! New Year, they will be at home to j their friends at the boyhood home of j the groom. Here they will keep j house. Livingston was one of Leesville's est home builders. She was also ctive in the promotion of measures' rhich were for the betterment of her own and community. Having faithfully! erved her day and generation she! ras not alarmed when she was strickn with double pneumonia. She is survived by her husband, C. j Livingston, two daughters, L. Crosson, and fiany relatives and friends who feel :eenlv their loss in her death. Her body was laid to rest at Leesille this morning.
