' ' ' i .ii. J ?
Any nara-Doneu anu-icuiiuisi wnu
thinks that women cannot be successful
as doctors, should see Bessie
Barriscale in "Kitty Kelly, M. D."
We'll guarantee that, after observing
/ the lovely Bessie diagnosing heart
troubles, lung affections, and kindred
complaints, the h.-b. a.-f., will be
strong for feminine osteopaths, homeopaths,
and allopaths, provided, of
#- course, they are young and easy on
the eyes.
What crusty old hypochondriac
^ wouldn't feel better after having the
beautiful blonde head ot a .Bessie a.
snuggled on his hairy bosom listen

" v ^ "Kitty Kelly, M. D." listened to
miMpe heart murmurs, felt more throbbing
pulses, and inspected more livercoated
tongues in her first day's
practice in the little mining town of
Fracas, Arizona, than any male

jr Tenounced likker so they wouldn't
r asphyxiate the pretty doctress when
she looked at their epiglottis.
Kitty proves she's just as good a
detective afe she is a physician when
she solves the mystery of the murder

TOWN TAKES DAY OFF
P V TO SEE FARNUM RIDE
One of the exciting chase scenes
in the new William Fjarnum pro
duction, the pictarization of the
Zane Grey novel, "The Last of the
Ihianes," was made at Banning, one
of the most picturesque mountain
towns of California.
When word reached the town
^that the famous William Fox star
Jr was coming to take some scenes*,
B the Board Of Tracle had the Mayor
* declare a holiday so that all the
townspeople coulh see the famous
screen star in person.
On his arrival Mr. Faraum was
met by the Mayor and a bevy of
whr> tendered him
?"?? N
Punches of flowers amid the cheers
of the throng.
The townspeople then stood around
and saw Mr. Farnum in some desperate
rides, and in a spectacular leap
Vfrom a running horse-to the back of
* . another and then atoay in a cloud of
dust, pursued by a posse of cowboys,
f ""The Last of the Duanes" will
y presented by William Fox at the
^pera house, Monday.

Judging from lier letter, the misI
