Miss Aurelia Mayer, daughter of

make another visit to the Baptist
hospital in Columbia for treatment.
She is still suffering from the effects
of an r.bscess below the kidney, for
which she underwent an operation

Dr. Jno. B. Setzler once more is
a private citizen of Newberry. He
ha^ received his honorable discharge
from the army, having successfully
finished his course in the hospital
overseas. We welcome him back to i
his Accustomed place here.
Mi^es Azile and Pearl Thomas of
Blairs paid a visit to Newberry on
Wednesday. The former will leave
on Saturday for Clio, S. C., where
she has accepted the position of
stenographer in the First National
bank. Miss Thomas is one of the efficient
graduates from the Newberry

Miss Sue Dean, for a number of
years local agent of tfle Western
Union Telegraph company, spent the
week-end in the -city with friends.

she had accepted a place in a bank
