Godfrey Harman passed away at hi3 home in Prosperity on Wednesday night, April 21st, jat 9:15 o'clock from, heart disease followed by. paraly sis. At the outbreak of the war between the States Mr. Harman volunteered his service to the Confederacy, and 'became a member of Co K, 13th South Carolina regiment, Kershaw's brigade, he served through the entire struggle. At the cjose of the war Mr. 'Harman was married to Miss Harriet Domir?ick of Newberry county and lived pleasantly in this marriage for 52 yoars. became the devoted father' of ten children, nine Df whom are living. In 1910 he became a candidate for the legislature, was elected and served one term. He is survived by his widow. Mi s. Harriet Dominick; four daughters, Tuva i Ron Rlarfc Prnsneritv. Mrs. J ,T. The new enrolment does not include those who have been on the pension list. An | appropriation was made under the old! law as before and in addition it was provided for the enrolment of all Confederate veterans in the state and after paying the pensions as provided for by law the balance is to be distributed as a bonus to the men ai^d women on the new roll.
