SOME MORE SOLDIER LETTERS. The Herald and News has received from parents and relatives quite a lot f letters from the boys over there and they are generally interesting and we have been glad to print them because even those who have no boys over there are interested just the same in the boys and read with interest what they have to say. We have not been able .to print them as promptly as we would like and w don't want any one to feel that we are neglecting to print any particular one, but will print as fast as we can. We are printing several in this issue and will print more in the next. LETTER FROM LONN1E SMITH TO MR. AND MRS. SAM JOHNSON Pothieres, France, December 30, 1918. Sure do wish I had some of that fresh meat Mrs. Senn gave you, although I am not hungry. I guess by now all of you have heard from the boys over here and know all who were killed in the last big drive just before the armistice was signed.
