Long, of the American, expeditionary forces in France, who died oi influenza on the 8th of November E's brother, Mr ,T. L. Long, in Newberry had received a letter from him dated the 20th of October, in which. he stated tnat lie was weu. Jtie was a member of Co. F, 3rd artillery corps, and was 26 years old. Besides hi3 deeply bereaved father and step mother he is survived by five brothers and sister to mourn his death, the brothers being J. Eb Long and Mai L. Long of the covntv and Theo, G. L. and J- L Long of the city, the sister Miss Rosa Long of the county. Thus has the d^ath of another brave young soldier who died for his country saddened one more home and community xn his native land. The bcdy of Mr. Geo. W.
