In Memory of Mrs. A. H. Bonk night*
Many homes have "been saddened ia
our community by the numerous
deaths during the influenza epidemic.
Our loved ones and friends that have
passed from our view to the life beyond
the grave, we mourn your los%
miss your presence, and we reverence
your vacant chair.
Among the sadness when the news
came that Rena had passed away, a
solemnity seized us, and a hirah!
seemed to rule among us.
We remembered the beautiful life
and the untiring efforts, which were
not in vain to brighten the corner
where she lived. The pleasant smiles
to everybody, the cord'a! greeting in
its pure simplicity, the sweet music
she rendered so willingly to children
as they gathered about her daily, as
well as for the grown ups that visited
oer.
She will be missed at home, on our
streets, but most of all her absence
will be Xelt at her church where she
had for more than five years rendered
her service as pianist, and the little
tots that loved her so dearly in b r
5<unday school class will miss her
gentleness and patience.
We cannot conceive of why her
young life, full of promise, was clai: ied
by the death angel, but sometime
we'll understand.
Why what we long for most of all.
Eludes so oft' our eager hand;
Why hopes are crushed and castles
, fall,
Up there, sometime, we'll understand
May God's richest blessings rest
upon the bereaved loved ones.
A F; iend.
Resolutions From Prosperity Lodge
A. F. M.
Whereas, greed and autocracy have
brought on this great world-wide
strife, wherein we believe that Divine
Ruler has called -upon us to lay oursedves
and our all upon the altar of
sacrifice for God and humanity, we
are, therefore bereaved to note the
sacrifice of our worthy brother, J.
Omerel Singley.
Be it resolved
1st. That we recognize God's almighty
power and bow in humble
submission to His most holy will in
taking from us this beloved brother
Mason, who gave his life as a sacri
fice to the cause of truth and righteousness.
We trust he has joined that
Celestial Lodge, whose Grand Master
is God, and from "whose borne no
traveler ever returns."
2nd. That we extend to his family
our heartfelt sympathy and pray that
God may keep, guide, and direct them
through life's journey and irive them
an abundant entrance into the Great
Beyond.
3rd. That these resolutions to
spread upon our minutes in honor of"
and as a token of esteem for our
faithful and loyal brother and that a
cony of same be sent to his family,
and to the county papers for publication.
