as she has received a letter from' him
dated the 1st of March and mailed
the 4th and he had been transferred

service. Then again his name is
Eugene Earl Stuck, hence it is not
altogether probable that it is he. At
any rate we all hope so.
Mr. Luther S. Dobbins hurries to
have his address changed to Sumter

as clerk of the Longshore camp of
Woodmen of the World, having enlisted
in the navy. He left Sunday

to let the paper miss following him.

starvation and that means death and
destruction. Foodstuffs may be higher.
Merchants may not be able to
buy them. It is necessary, if we are
roing to aid the government in winning
the victory, that we must have
wardens and work them. Tn order to
work the gardens and brin^- success
to the country all the stores should
be c!o?ed early to enable the people
generally to do their duty and obey
the call of their country, for it
their duty aDd the country calls. The
soldiers are fighting for life and liberty,
"the man with the hoe" must
h fisht for the existence of himself and
his family and the men behind the
sunt.
