only one Brown on the first, all of
the Browns in the county, far outnumbering
the Hargroves. There are
three Ringers on the first and one on
the second; four Shealys on v,? first;
two Wrights, one on each liu, oUh
men officers of the Newberry cotton
mill; two Humphries on the first, the
only two in the county we have been
told; only one Looninick, of all the
Lominicks. There is a Gibson, a Sligh,
a Howard, a Baker and a Miller on
each list. The point is,, the more numerous
the clan the less they are represented
on these juries, and vice versa.
But where are the Smiths and the
Joneses?
If the government will nab the food
extortioners it will be accorded the
deep gratitude of the people.?GreenKews.
