Paul's last Sunday. It is a beautiful

quently to be reminding youth of

in this congregation, and as I
have stated has seen many pastors
come and go, and has passed through
three generations of men. It is not

has the record of having the same
pastor serve them for more years
than any other congregation in the
Lutheran church in the south, and
possibly anywhere else. Mr. John D.
Shealv who lives nearby has been an
officer in the church for a half century.

congregation. Then there are .lohn
F. Kibler and W. B. Kibler and Gerv
B. Anil and Adam L. Aull and Julius
Epting and some others who hava
been members of this church for
nearly a half century. The first grav<?
in the cemetery at St. Paul'*s wTas
made for Mr. William Calvin Aull the
father of Geo. B. and Adam L. Aul!.
He was buried there in 1864 having
died from wounds received in the
war.
At t'% sueg^stion of Mr. *. H. Koftn
now of Columbia but one time a member
of this congregation, and of Mr.
W. R Kibler and others, it was decided
to remove the remains of Pastor
Wallern and his wife from where

that it would be well to wait
until next year and that would be the
centennial of the death of Mr. Wallern,
but it was decided to take the matter
mat once. A committee was appointed
to have the matter in charge.
