Dr. Kinard was for seventeen years '
a professor in 'WJinthrop college, hold- j
ing the chair of English. He wen:]

eminently satisfactory. Four years j
ago he resigned to become a member!
ol the faculty of the Citadel academy !
in Charleston, where he remained one j
year and then he accepted the presi- j
dncv'of Anderson college where he
was two years coming to Newberry a j

His friends in New-berry, Ills old j
j home, regret to have him leave us
i but so far as we are concerned we
feel he has done the right tiling for
himself returning to Winthrop though
i his work here during the past year |
, has been very satisfactory, but he is j
| preeminently a college man and Win- j
throp is fortunate to have him return
to her faculty.
He wiil fill the chair of Education j
i and Psychology a new chair which j
has just been created. Dr. Kinarfl
left yesterday for Chicago where he
will take a course in the University
