Three bushels of Irish potatoes were
planted by Mr. T. M. Sanders and he
gathered three bushels from the first
row. They are large and beautiful
specimens, showing what can be done
in this country.
At least one citizen, Mr. James d.
Coward, succeeded in raising a full
brood of chickens from one hatching.
From 12 eggs. 12 chickens were hatch
ed and every one of the dozen 4ived
to grow up. This is something that
doesn't always happen.
There are some fine tomato an'l
cabbage plants to be given away at
the establishment of P. F. Baxter &
Son. All you have to do is to go there
and ask for them, as the proprietors
of the place have more of these plants
than t)iev need for themselves and are
willing to share them with their
friends. First go, first served.

ture programs at the opera house. In
addition to the regular order for Sat
