The recital by pupils of Miss Rawl's
music school last Friday night at the
opera- house was delightfully and suc
cessfully rendered. The descriptive
program in its every number was a
treat to the audience as each perform
er in turn exhibted natural talent of
a hish order under expert training
and cultivation. The program has
been published in full in The Herald
and News and it. only remains for ub
to say that the playing came up to
expectation and reflected credit alike
o^ pupils and teacher.
The daily papers carried a dispatck
June 1 recounting the attacV May 24

members of the crew were all saved,
landing at Gibraltar. Among them
was Harry Stone. But it was another
Harry Stone, steward of the vessel.
Our Harry doesn't get that tar away
from home. He stays around here to
help Chief Ed pick up sinners from
the sea of life and the ocean of un
rest as they are floundering around in
the wreckage from attacks by subma
rines from old Satan's lake of fire and
brimstone, which war is some hell, be
