I
Rev. W. J. Nelson of Rock Hill as- j
sisted at Cross Roads, beginning first
Sunday in September and closing th =
next Saturday morning. Too uajcu
could not be said of our meeting.
Brother Nelson's preaching, through
the power of the Spirit of Christ,
greatly revived the' church. He is a
preacher of ability and power.
As a partial result of this meeting
I baptised three, one had been a candidate
since last year for baptism.
There seems to be unity of purpose
in all three of the churches.
Since coming on the field in the
spring of 1913 I have baptised thirtyone.
This number looks small, but
there are only about 200 members in
the field.
With the hearty co-operation of the
Saluda church we have been able "if
1
ine war is on." to ouiia a nice par- j
sonage at .Chappells, which is a six- !
room building. The building is finished i
with the exception of painting. The !
church owns one and three-fourths j
acres of nice land with the lot. This j
has been long needed, and the church J
of Saluda is to he commended for its
accomplishment. j
I have resigned the field, and shall j
expect to hear of great things coming j
to pass in the near future.
Excuse this long letter, it is the
first time I have given any account
of my work here.
