There has been a great deal of coi
eealment in regard to this distrib
tion of ,the banks' funds. The orig
nal resolution adopted by the commir
sion withdrawing certain amouni
from the local banks has never bee
given to the public, although some <
the commissioners wish it to be maZ
public. But its contents were prai
tically understood by the action take
by the local banks after its passage.
To-day's session of the commissio
was executive, and when Dr. Murra
was asked for a statement by Th
News and Courier correspondent, in

ment to make. He, however, confirn
ed the statements given above.
