Meadville. Miss.. June 14.-Two
men are dead. two were perhaps fa
tally wounded and three others slight

A. M. Newman' elerk of the chancery

G. Reynolds. Dr. Lenox Newman, a
son of one of the slin men is believ

wounds. EmM.'et Newman, another
son, was shot in the leg. The three
were taken to Natchez tonight for
medical attention after having been
formally placed under arrest. Two

and have ; been captured.
L. P. Pritchard, a brother of Cor

killed seven weeks ago, was arrested
and charged with complicity in the
tragedy.
The killing of Pritchard by New
man was the first bloodshed to mark
a feud that had existed between the
two men, relatives and friends, for
months. This bitter factionalism had
its inception in a political eampaign
in which Newman and Pritchard
were opposing candidates.
Newman was tried a few weeks ago
for Pritchard's murder and was ac

more bitter feeling among the rel
atives and friends of Pritchard and
the Newman family and faction.
Today's fight occurred almost on
the same spot where Pritchard was
slain. Apparently Newman was first

Abbeville. June 14.-The 8-year-old

get the virus fresh every day and
treat the boy at home. Early in April
the South Carolina State board of
health authorited the establishment
of a Pasteur institute in Columbia,
but it seems they are not in position
yet to treat patients.
