' The annual meeting of the stoe'kholders of the company is held each year on June 15. The profits of the corporation have so far been turned into the surplus account. Under the direction and control of skillful business men, who know the oil nmill business, and with a modern plant throughout, the enterprise wil'l continue to succeed in the future, as it has succeeded in the past. The company has hulls and meal al ways on hand, and buys cotton seed at all seasons. TELEPHONE SYSTEM. Remarkable Growth of Telephone Lini es Out of Little Mountain-An Excellent Service. Beginning during July of last year with the erection of a line from Lit dle Mountain to Peak and Spring Hill, in Lexington county, the number of telephone lines out of Little Moun tain has increased until 'today there are one hundred phones connected on the different lines of the Little Moun tain Telephone association. Ten more phones have been ordered, and they will be installed in the very nearfu iure, increasing the number of phones on the different lines of 'the associa tion to 110. In addition to these phones, the swithc'hboard of the Lit tie Mountain association has free con netion with the Chapin exchange, the Chapin association and the Little Mountain association having erected a wire between the two exchanges for their mutual benefit. There are about sixty phones conneetd with the Chap in exchange. The Little Mountain ex ehange has, of cou'rse, connection with the long distance lines of the South ern Bel-l company. Dr. J. M.
