BUSINESS OPPORtTUNITY
Silver Street, S. C. -
I our opinion no small town in this part of the State has suuh a bright future
before it as Silver Street. We have backed our opinion with our-money. Located on
the Southern Railway, and surrounded by a fine farming country, it is now doing a
good business. But it has opportunities m2ny times the amount now done.' It is not
only the business center of a Jarge and prosperous sect ion of Newberry County, but it is
the nearest and most accessible Railway Station for a large part of Saluda County. We
are told that 165 cars of fertilizers were sbipped there last year. This serves to illus
trate its central position. At present there are three general merchandise stores, an
up-to-date ginnery and a new church. Most of these have come in the past year.
The town needs more stores to attract trade. There is no better country town in
which to open up business.
What do we have to do with all this? Simply this: We have foreseen the develop
ment that is bound to come. We have bought 176 acres of land in and near the
town. Some of this land is in the very heart of the place. The people want this land
cut into lots so the town can grow. We have decided to cut a portion of this tract
into lots and sell part of them. Our terms are as easy as the buyer could desire. Only
a limited number will be sold now. We will also sell small tracts of from five to ten
acres. We have a good dwelling in the very center of the town.
