Capital Stock of $300,000,

has been made for a charier for
the Fidelity Securities Company,
which is I lie first step in the organization
of a South Carolina lire insurance
company with a capital slock
of $;}00,000, with headquarters in
Columbia. Comptroller (Icneral Jones
is the prime mover in the organization
of this company and will be
its head, lie lias secured the backing
of the leading business men of
the state, who realize that il is hot
only an excellent investment from
the purely business standpoint, but
that the plan to keep the insurance
premiums in tins stale and section
is deserving of support. Mr. Jones
has lot vet made any systematic canvass
for slock, bill slater thai with
the small amount of wo"k which he
has been able to do on ibis line outside
of office hours lie has met with
encouraging success. IIis desire is to
distribute the stock among; a large
number of small stockholders scattered
in all sections of Hie slate. The
company is to be primarily a South
Carolina concern, hut it* business
operations will not, of course, be
confined to lhis slate.
The Fidelity Securities Company

surance and oilier companies, using
? the proceeds of the sale of its slock
for this purpose, and to act as general
agent for fire insurance and other

Its principal object will be to organize
a new fire insurance company
