Above the archeE on either side the letters ''H" ani "G'' were outlined in green an< white. A tracery of vines formed 9 dado around the entire church, thE whole effect being strikingly beauti .ful and artistic. At the hour of four while the greal audience waited, the organ's notes suddenly filled the pir with deep ton ed harmony and the rich baritone of Mr. Harry Priophit caressed the caf in the exquisite love song: ''Be cause 'God Made Thee Mine." When the last tender note died on the aii the organist's skillful fingers passec into Mendelssohn and down eithez aisle the ushers led the way to the altar, Messrs. Philip Chauvin, Ed ward Flowers, Clyde Sanders and 'Joe Austin; separating at the altaai the'y crossed and took position unde3 the arches ou either side. Down the, right aisle folloiwed thE matron of honor, Mrs. C. A. Holeomlb( of Baton Rouge, in a dainty whitE organdie and lace, carrying pml roses, and down the left, the maid ol honor, Miss Jayne Gibbs, in an air3 creation of wash ehiffoa and .laet against the snowy whiteness of whi-el the great roses she held shone pi ly;. From basketsi of blue forget-me nots two beautiful litle fldwer girl preceded the bride scattering thE azure tinted blossoms, little Gene viere Washburn and Bernice John ston. They were pictures of cheru bic beauty .in white mull over blut silk .and created a sensation swith t-her beauty. The bride, upon whom every eyi entered with admiration entered 01 the arm of her. broither, Mr. Fre< Gibbs. Never a fairer bride was see: than this, the soft dark eyes, th4 rounded cheek delicately chiseled an flushed with pink shone radiantly un der the enveloping veil of illusion against the dark hair with drooping lillies of the valley. Her gowna wai an elegant and artistic creation of ma line over chiffon and taffeta, richi: embroidered; she carried an arm bou quet of bride roses and ferns. John Fostex and the t,wo stood just beneath the wedding bell, ushers and attendant grouped abo"t them, making a pictur that will not is easily forgotten.
