Teague, a son of Mr. Abe Teague. formerly of Newberry; was aequit Wed Wednesday morning in the generall sessions court of Spartanburg of tihe charge of murder. Teague sev eral weeks ago killed a negro named Henry Brown near East Spartanburg. Th ease was one clearly of self-de fense and the jury did not deliberate long. Teague is a contractor and had some trouble with the negro over his wa.es and the negro first picked up a rek to throw at the white man and after dropping it drew his pistol. Teaue got his gun out first and shot the negro th1rough the head. A fter leaving Newberry Teague liv ed in Columbia. and later went to Sparutanbmy. Advertised Letters.
