Entered at the Postoffice at New- K S 6erry, S. C., as second class matter. t TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1905- f Eleven Cents Per Pound. C t Cotton was selling yesterday at II cents per pound. The farmers who have been sticking to the action of the Southern cotton association are now reaping The benefits. IThey should not, however, rush too much cotton on tihe .market and cause the price to go down. Let it be marketed so as to keep up the demand. The price will remain. St. Paul's Edition. The Herald and News today ap pears in sixteen page form. Much of 'our space is -devoted to St. Paul's and its thistory. The Luheran synod ot -South Carolina will convene there -tomorrow at 10 o'clock in its 81st an nual convention. This paper .may be called the St. Paul's edition. < t The Heraid4 and News extends a .cordial -welcome to -the members of synod. Not many of the members were in the synod when it met at St. Paul's 37 years ago and; if it should be as long until the next <meeting with this historic church not many of these will be at that convention. t We trust our friends will enjoy this issue of The Herald and News and the special articles prepared for this issue may be appreciated and that you will also read the advertisements of our enterprising merchants and bangs and insurance men.
